UAP Group today announced a phased return to work starting on Monday 20 April for all Group products including UAP, Fullex, Locking Systems, Intelligent Hardware and TradeLocks.
CEO, David Jennings, said: “We are aware that several of our customers have started a phased return to work, and it is important that we offer a service to support them. Additionally we have customers dealing with the MOD and NHS who also need supply, and again it is important to service those requirements. We have nine warehouses within our group, and so we are able to offer a delivery service following extremely safe social distancing operating procedures.”
“We have had a skeleton staff operating during the lockdown in each of the warehouses, installing the systems we need to comply with safe working practices. The safety of our employees is of paramount importance.”
UAP will not be opening their warehouses for any personal collections at this time, and all enquiries will be handled via e-mail as they have most of our administration and sales functions on furlough.
David continues: “We believe our decision to offer a restricted service is the right one that enables our customers to continue to produce, and at the same time keep our warehouse staff safe. We will scale up our service as demand requires.”
